QUESTION POSTED IN NOVEMBER ON AN OTHERWISE DEAD COACH, IN STORAGE, WITH THE REFRIGERATOR LEFT ON, AND IN LP MODE, WILL THE BATTERIES EVENTUALLY BE EXHAUSTED. DOES THE REFRIG. REQUIRE ANY ELECTRICAL WHILE OPERATING IN LP? THE FOLLOWING RESPONSE WAS SUBMITTED BY GARY B. THANKS GARY

The refrigerator uses 12 volt current to hold the fuel solenoid valve
open. When the battery gets low the solenoid will close and propane
will cut off causing refrigertaor to go off. In my coach even low
voltage >12.4 or so will be to little to hold solenoid open. Best bet
in dead storage is to shut refrigerator off, use towels to absorb
moisure already in box and prop doors open to keep from mildewing. I
always shut mine off this way even when in storage with battery charger
operating. Gary B

From the Dec. 2003 Maintenance Info page

An item has come up recently concerning the electric slide-out, and is worth passing along. (depending on the chassis, you may have a hydraulically operated slide) One of our members had the slide-out motor brackets , break, which of course rendered the slide-out dead in its tracks. He says that the motor eventually will, due to excess torque at each usage, work loose and could break the weakest link, which is the brackets. All of this made a lot of sense to me, so I went and took a look at my own motor. Surely enough, my bolts (all seven of them) were also loose. I was undoubtedly heading for bracket failure in the not too distant future. Some day when you have nothing better to do,it might be worth checking. A little bit of effort here could save a lot of trouble later. Please keep in mind that this is just the Funseeker website, and we are trying to toss out information that may be helpful to our members. The things we discuss are in no way intended to represent official information released by various chassis builders.
